My professional background is horticulture and agriculture. I earned a degree as an Agricultural Econimist from the University of Kassel at the Faculty for International Rural Development.
In Nepal I am involved in promoting organic vegetable production as well as in exploring the merits of the "System of Rice Intensification" in the Nepali context.

There is an online SRI presentation I prepared for an information meeting in Gulariya in April 2004. It gives a step by step introduction and in the second part talks about the results we have seen.
The SRI Nepal Network links up scientists and practioners in Nepal and beyond to promote the adoption of SRI in Nepal, and to exchange ideas. Anybody interested can join the Network on the website.
